How to sign out of iCloud and Google accounts

To ensure a fast and secure return of your product, sign out from your iCloud or google accounts and remove all personal accounts and passwords.

Apple products

For iPhone and iPad

• Go to Settings, then tap your name.
• Scroll down to the bottom.

• Tap Sign Out
• Enter your Apple ID password and tap Turn Off. If you forgot your Apple ID password please check Apple’s help page.
• Turn on the data that you want to keep a copy of on your device.
• Tap Sign Out.
• Tap Sign Out again to confirm that you want to sign out of iCloud.

For MacBooks and Mac products

macOS Ventura or later

• Choose Apple menu > System Settings.
• Click your name.

• Click Sign Out.
• If you want to a keep a copy of your iCloud data on your Mac before you sign out, make sure that you select the appropriate checkboxes. Then click Keep a Copy.
• If you want to keep a copy of your Safari passwords on your Mac, click Keep on This Mac.

macOS Monterey or earlier

• Choose Apple menu > System Settings.
• Click Apple ID, then click Overview.
• Click Sign Out.
• If you want to a keep a copy of your iCloud data on your Mac before you sign out, make sure that you select the appropriate checkboxes. Then click Keep a Copy.
• If you want to keep a copy of your Safari passwords on your Mac, click Keep on This Mac.

Android and devices with Google accounts

Remote sign out

If you forgot to sign out of your email on another computer, you can remotely sign out of Gmail:

• Open Gmail.
• In the top right, click your profile picture.
• Click Manage your Google Account.
• Click Security.
• Under Your devices, click Manage all devices.
• Choose a device.
• Click Sign out.

Sign out of your current device

• Open Gmail.
• In the top right, click your profile picture.
• Click Sign out.
